The parts for this chest were made by eight smiths. At the 2004 biannual ABANA (Artist Blacksmith Association of North America) Conference, the smiths demonstrated how they made their part of the chest . It raised $12,500 when it was auctioned off at the conference and the proceeds were donated to ABANA.

I made the feet for the chest. The feet are 1 3/8”  in diameter, 3/4” high and have 17 hand chased helical flutes. Each foot took 10 hours to create.
