I made a pair of these fern stands for a lady who will be renting them out for garden weddings. The frame around the top is lap jointed with bolts in the corners that look like flower buds (lower left detail). The center part of the top is a basket weave with 1/2" X 1/8" mild steel. The legs have a twist in them and flare out at the bottom with a fish tail for the feet. The cross brace has a hot slit in it and is attached with flower bolts (lower right detail). It was left unfinished as the client was going to paint it to match her other wedding items. The fern stand is 14" square on the top and stands 40" tall.
